Not every guy loves the idea of shopping, and trying on endless pairs of jeans to only just maybe find what you need can be even less appealing. But it is possible to find the perfect pair of jeans without too much effort, and it’s sort of a necessary process because who doesn’t wear jeans. Here’s how to find what you need without too much hassle.

Keep it Classic

There are a lot of options when it comes to rinses, embellishments, colors, etc, but when you’re looking for a pair of jeans that will work for everything from work to hitting the bars going for classic options is going to give you more bang for your buck and also simplify your life. Think clean lines, and dark rinses for go anywhere denim.

Know What the Sizes Mean

You can take a lot of the guesswork out of denim buying if you actually know your size and what the numbers mean on the jeans. If you have a pair of jeans that fits you well already, you can use that as a size guide. Measure from the crotch to the inside of the bottom of the leg to find your inseam, and measure around the waist of the pants to find your waist size.

A lot of guys have a tendency to buy jeans that are too big, which can cause all kinds of unnecessary bunching and folds. Try a size down from what you would normally wear and if the waistband isn’t too tight consider if that one is closer to your actual size.

Figure Out Which Style is Best For You

If you can figure out which cut and style works for your body then you can stick with it and not have to bother trying on every style with every new brand. Also, when you find brands that work for you, stick with those as well. No sense in changing a great thing unless you have a specific reason why you want to.

Consider What You Will Use Them For

For women buying jeans has a lot to do with their body type as opposed to what they will be doing in the pants, but for men it’s the opposite since men’s jeans tend to be more relaxed than women’s jeans and therefore more universally flattering. Men should think about what the jeans are for, if it’s for something more formal you will most likely go for something slimmer or more tailored than you might for something more casual.

Think About the Material

Jeans that have some stretch to them that are made with spandex or lycra are of course going to provide more range of movement and possibly more comfort for you, but they can also wear out faster than jeans that are a strong 100 percent cotton. There is no correct choice, just whatever works the best for you and your lifestyle.
